Annual uncertainty about longevity of role. Various marketing departments experience "Resource Allocation" events annually. A collective holding of breath through 1Q, then emotional job searches and reassignment in 2Q just about kills any solid progress for half the year. Every year.
What used to be a great company to work for years ago is now a shell of its former self .. it is no longer a company I would recommend to anyone.
IBM is just NOT the company is used to be. IBM newest CEO (ginny) no longer cares for the people who make the company run!
Current transformation taking place as with any is painful, in their defense this is a big firm trying to modernize so it will take time
The same as the one that enthousiat me, the complexity and diversity we have to deal with on a daily basis
Currently, disorganization. But this is rare. I've had excellent management and excellent team mates throughout my tenure.
No team feeling and push for to donate unpaid OT (or no raise or bonus)
layoff without notice - good people being let go even in growth areas
IBM is stuck in the 1960's. Men carry more weight than women
Lack of leadership and growth support.
Terrible managers and executive teams.
My team was awesome.
High expectations
