
They should be less cautious about promoting people. They are very slow to promote in product/engineering (faster it seems in Client Services and Sales which feels unfair). I know several people who had to leave Indeed to move their careers to the next level. They were all talented, professional, and would have made an impact at the next level but Indeed has unrealistic bars to clear for promotion. If I leave Indeed it will be because of this.
Flatten the hierarchy. Remove middle managers. Promote trust and autonomy.
