
Currently, an email goes out to everyone in that job area, asking them to reply if they’re interested in being considered for the promotion. The manager above the open position interviews each of the applicants and they are told when a decision will be made. Their current performance numbers are reviewed and weighed with the interviews to select the best applicant for that position. All the applicants are emailed whether or not they got the position. A company-announcement is made on who will be filling that position.
