Although the position "required" a degree, I could easily tell that they were more concerned about personality and "fit" for the specific position than they were about the actual degree. Culture is key here, and interviewing made that clear.
The "family" feel the management team have created makes it feel as though everyone is here to improve their individual aspects within the company, not just to receive a paycheck. That's a difficult thing to accomplish, but they've done it somehow.
We collaborate well, and communicate openly about items that need to be addressed without feeling belittled or micromanaged. When issues arise, we take ownership of our individual roles and responsibilities, and each work together as a team to formulate the best possible solutions.
