How secure do you feel at your job at Office Depot?

I feel I know my job and do it quite well and serve my customers to their satisfaction! I can answer their questions and get them through their shopping as fast as possible yet keeping them satisfied. I also try to keep my area clean and neat at all times and do whatever ptojects may be asked of me. As far as job security the scheduling manager keeps cutting my hours and I’m downto about 9 or 10 hours per week and more associates are being hired. The scheduling manager has scheduled a lot of people out of hours and I myself was not scheduled for any hours for about three weeks in a row. When I inquired why I was not scheduled the store manager found a few hours for me to work those weeks, and I’m not the only one that has happened to — it’s as if the scheduling scheduling manager has a problem with you — you don’t get any hours!

I do not feel secure at all. There is very little upper management support regarding career development. Very Political.
