Ensure that FreeWheel retains its startup, fun-loving, hard-working and collaborative spirit. Right now it feels very stuffy and uptight and some of the magic of working is being lost to corporate regulations.
The Advanced Advertising Group is dealing with a very insidious "Boys Club" type of culture that excludes the women in the office and overlooks them for growth opportunities. This culture ultimately makes women feel undervalued and undermines Comcast's claim to highly regard diversity.
FreeWheel has historically had excellent benefits but now that the Comcast acquisition is visibly apparent in terms of changes to processes and company organization, a lot of good benefits have been rescinded (i.e. health insurance premiums increased drastically, cell phone bills no longer covered)
Leadership needs to be more involved in terms of what employees' daily tasks consist of as well as the challenges they face, such as issues with reporting that interfere with everyone's ability to do their work. Management is inattentive to present work conditions and that needs to change.
FreeWheel has some of the best and brightest employees. Even when they leave they go on to do great things in ad tech and outside the industry as well. Most people are very collaborative - they ask for help when needed and everyone makes time to answer others' questions when necessary.
