They are moving more and more to a "pit" environment. They haven't gotten the memo about how stressful, distracting and unproductive that can be for positions that require focus. I know of at least one person who has left the company specifically because of that problem. They do constantly re-arrange to try to make the layout work better for everyone. Hopefully some time in the future those re-arrangements will include more options to limit interruptions.
