Wherever you work, youre staffing must be horrible or your supervisor is. You should be able to get time off when requested, if staffing allows it and it's an early enough notice before the actual time you are taking off. And they pay you annually for whatever hours you average per week, so youd get 1 week's worth of pay on your annual hire date, I have heard it goes up to 2 weeks after 5 years but i have a few months to see if that's true or not. Overall, it can be a lot better, and leaves much to be desired, but it's better than nothing at all.
It really all depends on the site. Ideally, you do have time off. but with the low wages and sometimes difficult work conditions, it seems difficult for them to keep people. No coverage no time off. Currently, staffing is at an all-time low so everyone is covering and working crazy hours. There are no Officers that are available to flex when you have vacations planned even if you give a month's notice.
It’s a complete and utter joke. It’s based on hours worked. You accrue PTO (paid time off) over the course of your year worked. It’s available on your anniversary hire date. However, when we switched from getting a vacation check to the accrued time off, I was told I had zero PTO after working a full year at full time. It’s insulting and I wish they would make it right.
There is no vacation policy in place. You get a 1 week pay check on your anniversary date and you take time off without pay. Not only that, the way the management is at this company you have to be a kiss- ass to even get that time off. The favoritism in this company runs deep and it's not just with time off, it's with alot of things.
You either have a very bad regional team or you're just lazy, i'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you've got a bad supervisor and regional management team. I'd hate to think of a Securitas Security guard as lazy.
I've been getting 3 weeks vacation pay for over 8 years now, but am being told that all you get now is 2 weeks max.... will fight this new policy... don't see how they can do that..
I have several concerns. I hate being lied to, hate my paycheck being sneered for their benefit. Always get the same answer, will check and let you know...sadly, they never get back with you.
I stared working for Securitas on 7/24/2017, it’s now October 5, 2018 and still no time off yet. I asked about it but they never really gave me a solid answer????
It’s absolute garbage. I’ve been with this company for decades and they are cheating me of two weeks vacation pay. I need that check, not the vacation.
