I am extremely grateful to being an employee here at Securitas. I have never worked with/for a company that values its employees so much. I love everything about it such as flexible schedules ,permission to work at locations, Weekly pay and the Securitas leadership staff.

I've been getting 3 weeks vacation pay for over 8 years now, but am being told that all you get now is 2 weeks max.... will fight this new policy... don't see how they can do that..
It’s a complete and utter joke. It’s based on hours worked. You accrue PTO (paid time off) over the course of your year worked. It’s available on your anniversary hire date. However, when we switched from getting a vacation check to the accrued time off, I was told I had zero PTO after working a full year at full time. It’s insulting and I wish they would make it right.
It really all depends on the site. Ideally, you do have time off. but with the low wages and sometimes difficult work conditions, it seems difficult for them to keep people. No coverage no time off. Currently, staffing is at an all-time low so everyone is covering and working crazy hours. There are no Officers that are available to flex when you have vacations planned even if you give a month's notice.

They offer many different insurances health insurance dental medical and prescription and vision as well as short-term and long-term disability and cancer insurance the health insurance is not very good so I do not get it and it is very expensive
Health, vision, dental, life insurance. I believe that there is 401k after you're with the company for a while.
Supplied less than -99.9% of (PPE) Personal Protection Equipment to their employees located in the field. No reimbursement to the security officers ensuring all remain safe. HR refuse to process even with proof of PPE purchase.

Okay, often last minute notice to cover. I don't recall signing on for "my beck and call" I do what I can, when I can. However, I hate being lied to about not returning the favor of covering a shift. They like the ones that are perpetually late and claim the time. The ones that havent got a clue

Just be on time its not fair to relieve anyone late or to show up late.
It may seem like a lot of information to take in but it is not as long as you can multitask and stay awake you will be very successful a security officer

There is a command structure, so you don't have to go it all alone, or shouldn't have to. Just be yourself and have the drive to work and do a good job. Don't go in looking for an easy job or one you can half ass, as a supervisor, I can tell you, we won't let you.

You're treated as a body to cover a post, not as an individual.
There is no culture. There is no development, there is no training, there is no education, and there is no mobility - or adequate compensation.

Well I always show up for work unless I'm really sick I rarely ever call in and I always do my very best of the job so I feel very secure I have seen a lot of people come and go at my client site
Pretty secure, it's mostly contract work, so that may vary from site to site, though overall, they'll keep you if it's at all possible, especially if you work hard and aren't lazy.
