Ms. Patricia M. Schaubeck, also known as Pat, Esq. has been an Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Sun Bancorp, Inc. and Sun National Bank since September 2014 and serves as its Chief Legal Officer. Ms. Schaubeck served as an Executive Vice President of Suffolk Bancorp and its subsidiary The Suffolk County National Bank of Riverhead Inc. since June 26, 2013. She served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Suffolk BanCorp. and The Suffolk County National Bank of Riverhead since June 19, 2012. She served as Senior Vice President of Suffolk BanCorp. and The Suffolk County National Bank of Riverhead from June 19, 2012 to June 26, 2013. She served as General Counsel of State BanCorp. Inc. and its subsidiary State Bank of Long Island from June 2007 to 2012. Prior to State Bank of Long Island, she served as an Associate at Ruskin Moscou Faltischeck, P.C since 2001, where she represented financial institutions and real estate clients. She has an extensive background in banking and real estate law and has advised clients on matters of bank regulatory compliance. She was associated with White & Case, LLP and other New York City law firms as well as served in various capacities with New York Bancorp, Inc. From 1999 to 2001, she served as Associate General Counsel at Haven Bancorp, Inc. She practiced law with the Long Island firm of Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., where she represented financial institutions and real estate clients from 2001 to May 2007. She has practiced at several prominent law firms, representing financial institutions and real estate clients in a variety of corporate, regulatory, banking and securities issues. She began her professional career as an examiner for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in their Philadelphia offices. She is a member of the Legal Advisory Board of the Long Island Alzheimer's Foundation and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Mary Louis Academy, a private girls' high school in Queens, NY. She has lectured and published articles on various real estate and mortgage loan related topics. Ms. Schaubeck received her J.D. and MBA in Public Accounting from St. John's University and her BBA from Bernard M. Baruch College.
