Employees are furloughed to reduced hours for January and February most years. Employees are forced you use up their accrued PTO during the furlough making it unavailable to use later. Raises don't occur every year, and when they do occur, they barely match the inflation rate. Frequently and with little to no warning, you are asked to stay late to perform rush work. The company as a whole makes very little profit; so equipment is old and unrepaired, purchases are fought by management, and pay increases are meager. All in all, it feels like the company is slowly failing.
I work a Tuesday-Saturday shift. Had I known I wouldn’t get paid my agreed upon shift differential, I would’ve fought for different hours. E
