Teams need to collaborate more effectively. The obsessive desire to WIN anything and everything might make sense in terms of crushing the competition but not internally.
Be respectful of the candidates. Yes, they are seeking a role within our company but that doesn't mean we should be inconsiderate of the time and effort they put forth to apply and interview.
