Refreshing! I know it's a strange way to describe my experiences here, but as someone who has been at Jam City for about 9 months, it is just so refreshing to see how kind the people here are. It is also so refreshing to have the resources and options we do here at Jam City. I never feel stuck.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
It is not political at all. If I am overloaded with work and have too much going on, others that I am doing work for regularly and proactively offer permission to push timelines out and be flexible to ensure I am feeling supported.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
They wanted to hire me and gave me an offer that reflected that. There wasn't any low-balling and any need for negotiation - they acted like they actually value me. It is better than what I would have expected from the industry as well.
What makes you most happy at work?
I feel fulfilled seeing my work make an impact on the company and hearing from games teams how useful the work I did was. I love when information I create or collect makes someone else better at their job or makes something about their job easier.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The best thing about the team is that it feels like a TEAM! In every other place I've worked, "team" has meant a group of people who all work on similar things. At Jam City, it feels like everyone is so focused on making sure everyone around them is being supported.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are good people, and treat the employees of Jam City like humans! At a big company it is easy to lose sight of the individual, but I never think that gets lost here. Leadership at Jam City fosters confidence - something I have always been lacking in. We are pushed in positive ways.
