The community focus has remained over the years. In the past 5 years, that has been to the detriment of the institution. Executive management has evolved to a point where there is no true understanding of the employees needs or wants.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The interview itself was wonderful. Those I met with were friendly, professional, and upbeat.
What makes you most happy at work?
The immediate managers and team leads tend to understand the challenges and successes. They are easy to provide accolades when appropriate.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The "worker bees" tend to work well together. There is a solidarity in the trenches. There are often team building moments to bring folks together.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Listening to employees, and being willing to concede or compromise. Being willing to compensate long term employees and reward tenure. Dealing with staffing issues, and replacing exiting positions instead of forcing absorption of the work.
