What makes you most happy at work?
I love working with the student workers. They're high energy and goal oriented. They make work fun. I enjoy having my own office rather than a cubicle. I like working within yards of my apartment.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The students are the best part. Helping them grow and succeed makes the work meaningful. NAU also offers excellent educational and professional development opportunities, valuable employee benefits, and a beautiful mountain setting with abundant outdoor recreation.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Leadership is accessible and provides opportunities for professional growth, networking, and continued learning. I appreciate being exposed to different leadership styles and perspectives and having opportunities to develop professionally within a large university.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?
15 min phone screen and a 1st round interview that was an hour-long. My final interview was purposefully 5 hours, workshop style with multiple panels. It was emotionally exhausting and unnecessary. I skipped work & got a hotel. After, I learned I could have read the As to the Qs & still gotten hired
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Coworkers need stronger training, accountability, consistency, and clearer expectations. Uneven competency can create unnecessary barriers for everyone. Better standardized training, communication, shared responsibility, and a focus on solutions would make teamwork far more effective. Some are great
