What makes you most happy at work?
My patients' reaching their target A1Cs or blood pressures. It makes me happy to help them achieve their goals, and stay healthy and safe, and out of the hospital.
What did you like most about the interview process?
It was virtual. I was a full-time instructor with my previous employer, that did not lend itself well to me leaving for interviews. Oak Street Health worked within my schedule, and I was hired, signed paperwork and did everything seamlessly.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are respectful, inclusive and passionate about their teams. Ensuring that each team member is developed to provide the best of themselves both to work and home. Work/life balance is a priority to my leadership, which is unlike any other place I have worked at in the past.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We have fun on down-time, but when we need to work together to meet our goals, we pull together and get our jobs done. I work closely with my providers to meet our goals, and with my MA/Phlebotomist team to meet our metrics. Our motto is we are done when the work is done.
