I like working for GovSpend and I enjoy the people I work with. It is still very much of start-up mentality, but we have a great opportunity. I think management has been conscious in making the departments less siloed and benefiting camaraderie with monthly company-wide events.
What did you like most about the interview process?
It was more like a conversation with my boss as opposed to an interview.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Very smart people. Willing to lend a helping hand. The majority are very easy-going and people I would spend time with outside of the office. Coachable. Good camaraderie.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We're all team players and willing to help. No one slacks off. Mostly positive attitudes and laughter. Finally being identified by all departments - no more unfamiliar faces!
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The C-level Executives are very transparent and have an equal playing field. They support all departments, promote healthy work-life balance, and invest in the professional and individual development of their employees.
What makes you most happy at work?
I personally appreciate recognition for hard work. I like seeing members of my team acknowledged for wins. I love hearing customer success stories. I appreciate different departments getting recognition when it's deserved.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I would like the annual review I was promised but have yet to receive. The responsibilities of my job are demanding, and I surpass the expectations of my role but have not received a raise. My title does not fit the responsibilities I juggle on a day-to-day basis. I wish a 401K package was offered
