I feel lucky to have made the cut and to be able to work for this company. I was a customer of theirs before I was ever an employee and I'm only more in love with the work they are doing and how they are doing it.

Flexibility to do the work around events that come up and the freedom to do my job without micromanagement.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Several options to choose benefits that fit my needs. Not just 2 or 3 options but 15 or so to choose from.
What makes you most happy at work?
I get to work from home in my sweats and do challenging work that I love. Plus I get focused uninterrupted time to do that work.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone is very supportive of the work life balance. If I'm sick or am dealing with lots of life, the entire company reaches out with support and kind words.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is focused on production, not appearances. We dream of a solution and we get work done. We don't talk about plans for hours or days on end, we take action.
What did you like most about the interview process?
TaxJar requires all new hires to trial before they are offered a job. It gives you a chance to see into the company and culture and see if it's a fit for you too. The project given during trial isn't easier but is a real exercise in seeing how you think and go about solving problems.
