Overall, I really do love working here. There are some MAJOR issues in DOTR which is frustrating. Compensation is underwhelming. Some major players and middle management in DOTR don't seem to understand or care about the challenges going on. Very little accountability.

When I started here, I loved it. It's gone downhill for the past couple years. I still mostly enjoy the work I do with our team, but I'm exhausted from roadblocks, lack of respect and professionalism, not feeling valued even though I bust my butt and do everything that is asked of me and more.

We haven't been laid off.

My team is a group of internally motivated people who do not need micromanaging.

Dan Curtis is very down to earth and genuinely seems to care about the employees.

Our team! I also get to talk to truckers all day, which I love!

The interviewers were easy to talk to. It made it not so stressful and stuffy.

The insurance is very affordable. We also have opportunities to get credits in to our HSA.

My direct bosses are the best. They both seem to genuinely care about their teams and are very easy to talk to.

My team is awesome! Everyone helps out others when needed. We get along so well you can often find us hanging out after work too.

We truly enjoy coming to work. During COVID most of us were begging to come back in to the office because we miss our work family.
Revisión
Our leadership team is friendly, approachable, listens to employee concerns, and are very inclusive. Diversity and Inclusion is one of our core values, and they truly walk the walk.

It's toxic. Trash talking other teams, lack of accountability, poor communication, low level of trust and mutual respect. Bad behavior is tolerated all over the place, no uniformity across teams and departments. Accountability and consequences for bad behavior would help.

I absolutely love my team. Everyone works together as a true team, stepping in to help each other. We are often thrown tasks that are outside of our normal purview, and they roll with it gracefully. I wouldn't trade my team for anything.
Revisión
I've been undercompensated since I was hired on, so each year is trying to play catch up, but the "merit raise" is typically a max of 3-5% and that doesn't even cover inflation in cost of living. So each year I essentially get more behind and not ahead.
Revisión
I am tasked with doing more and more work that former and current supervisors used to do in addition to my actual role and see no additional compensation or promotion. We are also underpaid compared to market. Our bonuses are based on things that aren't in our control and make no sense.
