I've worked at Cengage for over five years and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The work is challenging and provides me with opportunities to learn new things all the time. I don't think they get enough credit for how employee-focused they are - engagement here is very high and increases every year.

My salary is competitive for my career/field and the opportunity to earn a bonus every year is great - but the bonuses could be bigger. There's barely any differentiation for top performers vs the rest.

They do an excellent job of doing what's best for the business AND what's best for employees. They've done an excellent job doing of being competitive and profitable in a tough, constantly evolving industry and through challenging times. Fully supporting of employees going virtual-first.

We're all very open and supportive of one another. We value each others differences and I believe everyone feels safe and comfortable being their authentic selves at work. When you're comfortable being yourself, everything else is so much better. We also push each other to be better every day.

Getting to meet so many members of the team. Through the various rounds of the process I got to meet and interview with a recruiter, my hiring manager, my next-level manager, and the leader of an adjacent team. They all offered their own perspectives on the role and its impact for the team.
