Flexibility with work hours. If I have something personal to take care of I can just put it on my calendar and be out during that time without it being an issue and without using my PTO hours, even if it's in the middle of the workday.

The compensation is significantly below market standards and does not provide a livable wage. It's concerning that some sellers, despite earning over $200k, appear to contribute little in terms of sales, while the rest of the team struggles to cover basic living expenses and works overtime.

I love my job! It's just with inflation, my salary isn't reflecting it. It's a bit harder to make ends meet. I also have my college degree so it feels a little underwhelming to have such a low salary. As for the company itself, I wouldn't change anything about IZEA, it feels like home!! (:

Competitively the compensation is lacking when looking at other roles in the industry. Other benefits are lacking for remote work (ex: stipend for at home office supplies).

I feel that initially 50% of the company wanted to stay in office (vs not being remote), so I think it would be nice for those people to have the option to have a we work membership (or something similar) to be able to have the option to work in person and be more productive.

I do think we advertise competitive compensation, and I would say while that may have been true in the past - our compensation and benefits is no longer competitive. I don't feel undervalued by any means. I simply think IZEA could do a better job at compensating their employees across the board.

I recognize that it's not easy to compensate workers fairly. However, I believe my leaders are doing the best they can in the circumstances. As long as we keep moving forward & making positive changes that put workers first, then the IZEA will succeed both in the short-term and long-term.

we are in a labor market that requires employers put their workers first. This means going above and beyond to pay the best salaries, offer the best benefits, and align the companies mission with that of employee professional growth. We have good intentions, but there is much work to be done.
