New associate, long term associate, great worker, poor worker, knowledgeable and non knowledgeable workers are compensated monetarily on at the same rate (very little difference in compensation amount). Compensate on a merit system and productivity will rise!!!!!!!!

In comparing salaries with nearby hospitals, our salaries are quite low, plus this job class never received a market adjustment like many others have in the last few years. It makes retaining good employees difficult.
