My colleagues are great and have a great sense of humor despite the poor leadership.

Compensation is important, but feeling like your opinion and contribution matters is just as important. Employees feel undervalued and all the decisions are made by a very small group of VPs with little or no input from their teams.

When I build something new, engage with our customers and help make them successful. When I can help our team achieve our goals and celebrate our success. Sadly, this is often hard to do at Pega. You are constantly being second-guessed and disappointed.

My process (and I have heard similar stories from others) was a bit confrontational which took me by surprise. Not by management, but by HR/recruiting. There is a new VP of HR, (and the only woman in upper management), so hopefully that has changed.

Pega hires really great people, but they burn them out mainly due to not giving them and decision authority. They hire directors, but give them no budget or anything to "direct". There is a ton of bureaucracy and little room for creativity and growth. Great people, but the best don't stay.

Surprised of the ratings seen here. Pega has great products and customers but it has a long way to go to be a great place to work. It is NOT at all diverse and very patriarchal. They hire smart people but then micro-manage them. There is little opportunity for career growth for most.
