They dont go by hard work or seniority they hire there family and friends

Okay, often last minute notice to cover. I don't recall signing on for "my beck and call" I do what I can, when I can. However, I hate being lied to about not returning the favor of covering a shift. They like the ones that are perpetually late and claim the time. The ones that havent got a clue

Display your ability to problem solve, be polite and have patience in the face of any situation. Also, it helps if you can remain calm and think clearly in the event of an emergency. There is a command structure, so you don't have to go it all alone, or shouldn't have to. Just be yourself and have the drive to work and do a good job. Don't go in looking for an easy job or one you can half ass, as a supervisor, I can tell you, we won't let you.

My interview process took less than 30 minutes

It depends on whether you are a male or female. Males tend to get longer interviews and are asked to try on the uniforms before they leave the office. Females are given clothes (sometimes they fit and sometimes they don't), and told to go ahead and go to the job site.

Based on need, your work ethic, your availability, your drive, your attendance, how good you are at thinking on your feet, dealing with pressure, dealing with people, etc.

You have to know somebody in the management team to get a promotion.

You're treated as a body to cover a post, not as an individual.

There is no culture. There is no development, there is no training, there is no education, and there is no mobility - or adequate compensation.

You can request time off, but they won't give it to you. You get a check on your anniversary for one week's pay. I'd much rather have a vacation with my family than one week's pay once per year!

Well I always show up for work unless I'm really sick I rarely ever call in and I always do my very best of the job so I feel very secure I have seen a lot of people come and go at my client site

Pretty secure, it's mostly contract work, so that may vary from site to site, though overall, they'll keep you if it's at all possible, especially if you work hard and aren't lazy.

Dress casual morning sneakers or boots

Jeans and a polo will do, but, a suit and tie wouldn't hurt. Dress for the job you want eventually with the company, not the job you're willing to settle for forever.

I applied for Securitas Security I got to call the next day I had an interview the day after that and I heard from them about 2 days later and I started the next day it was very quick process for me some people are different some take longer and some take shorter it all depends on the client site and the branch office
