Overall a positive experience with the team - everyone is so skilled and generous. The primary issue to me is capacity, which in turn affects morale and culture. It's difficult to feel like your time is valued or be creative and motivated when you're underwater and you don't have work-life balance

Fantastic! My only complaint is related to the new HR executive's communication style, which feels very combative and not as transparent as we're used to at SmartBug. Otherwise, I can't say enough great things!

I feel extremely privileged to be at SmartBug, let alone be in my position here. I genuinely appreciate the opportunity to create something so big. I feel comfortably challenged by the work yet supported by a great team. The constant state of growth is exactly what I want.

Sufficient for the role and experience, however I know it is not fully in line with my counterparts. Meaning, the compensation does not match the scope. But, reasons were provided and I understood what I was accepting.

The two most costly things for a business are employee salaries and paying for a physical location. Since we are fully remote I feel like salaries should be able to be more competitive than they currently are.

Compared to other areas of the market, as well as other agencies in our industry, I feel like we're a bit underpaid. Pay structures are not clear, pay bands are not openly communicated, and raises and bonuses seem like murky processes. Our benefits are good.

Commission can make compensation highly variable. Promotions are given instead of keeping employees' salaries in their current roles competitive. I would feel valued if SmartBug proactively increased salary (or benefits!) without requiring us to advocate for sub-inflation adjustments

Everybody is genuinely invested in the direction of the company. We all want to meaningfully contribute, and everyone wants to help each other out. It is not uncommon (and is becoming more frequent) to discover that "problems" I'm thinking about, my team is thinking about and working on as well.
