I am a contracted tutor so I am paid by the hour. I love that payments are made by direct deposit twice a week and clients are held responsible for missed sessions or last minute cancellations.

There are no benefits, just 1099 contracts which pay the tutors low houly wage and charge customers excessively.

Varsity charges on average $77 for each session and the tutors see $15 of that. Varisty is a great platform however tutors need to be paid more fairly for their work.

Pay could improve. Im paid approx $16/hour. If i tutored privately on my own I could make $75-$100/hour.

As compensation, 45-50% percent is fair. The current 37% compensation, including the expense of travelling, is unfair.

I think the hourly rate is not what it should be. I've worked excessive hours for this company for limited compensation and if the benefits were better maybe it would even out but that's not been the case.

Clients are charged a lot of money and i don't even get paid half of what clients pay. i feel i should make at least $5 more an hour .
