
Basically immediate hire over the phone where you would need to come in for an onsite interview as a formality.
Unfortunately, the work culture cannot be fixed as there is a hidden hierarchy within the dept. It would require almost all of upper management to be replaced.
The company has filed for bankruptcy back in August 2019. Unless the company is taken over by another entity and cleans house of it's existing employees, all of management, I do not see how the company can recover.
I know the salaries of individuals in my dept and some of the VP's as well. The pay discrepancy between individuals is absolutely astonishing. I know their salaries because they had left their newly negotiated employment agreement on the copier.
A lot of individuals who are currently in management have been promoted in a very short amount of time. Promoted more than once with a year's time. It's who you know and not what you know. The smart individuals who left the company used their experience to move onto to better positions.
All newly hired people who make it past their probationary period have become lazy do the least amount of work possible. Some people who have been there for years take advantage of this on a daily basis. Management turns a blind eye to this behavior as long as the work is done.
