  • You can't go wrong with business dress. While many managers may be ok with casual dress, I wouldn't take any chances.

  • Normal business atire. Ingram is business casual, but for interviews still dress your best

  • Supposedly, business casual. But I see people in jeans, sweatshirts and sneakers all the time. More people probably work in blue jeans than not.

  • business casual daily, that changes when clients are involved and based on position

  • The problem is that there is no culture across the board. It's a conservative, profit-driven company. Some locations have built their own culture and those are great places to work, but there is no purpose statement that drives an overall culture, not quality, not customer service, not teamwork, not safety, not sustainability...just maximize profits. To improve the culture, we'd need one in the first place and I think the company is too decentralized to get there.

  • Remove red tape. Fun is often frowned upon and results vary too much around your direct manager

He sometimes pays lip service to how great the people are, but always comes across as harsh when the numbers aren't meeting his expectations. There've been way too many reorganizations (read layoffs) under him. He's well beyond retirement age and seems detached from the priorities of younger employees.

  • Varies by manager. You get a set amount of PTO which is your vacation, sick leave and you coordinate with your manager. The more strict your manager, the less lenient they will be and vice versa.

  • Very subjectively. Someone with little experience could be promoted just because his or her manager left. A lot of it is a popularity contest. Some people have been working their tails off for years only to be overlooked or even let go during reorganization.

  • This depends department by department. However, more often than not it depends if the manager likes you. Performance plays part, however, popularity is key. This has been proof for 5 years in a couple different departments.
