I have learned more in the past year and a half than the previous 5 years of my construction career combined. Hours are long, work is challenging, the people are great. High turnover, not for everyone. Culture can be a bit cultish. Sink or swim environment, must be a self starter, self motivated.

You don't find many people that are not genuinely giving 100% effort. Those that aren't are quickly weeded out.

Their emphasis on safety - they go above and beyond to get everyone home uninjured. Some would think it borders on excessive, but it works.

Learning and mastering new skills and concepts. Completing difficult tasks and overcoming challenging obstacles. There is always a unique new problem to solve that seems impossible to manage, but it gets resolved and you see your hard work manifest as the project is built.

401(k) matching is above & beyond. 6% minimum, then additional 0-4% on top of that. Historically they match 3% additional, so 9% match. Health benefits are very limited in options (only 1 plan to choose from) and if you have a lot of health issues it is subpar.

I had 3 interviews (screener, PM, sponsor) and many interactions with recruiter. Long process (over a month), was prepped by recruiter for STAR format interview. Final interview, sponsor just asked me to tell him about myself, my life & career. Very casual, low pressure. Caught me off guard though.

Leadership is hit or miss. Job level leaders are very busy and can be less than accessible. When you can engage, they are all generally helpful and try to do their best - this is limited by how thinly they are spread though. Little to no contact with any leadership outside of the project level.
