The company has been a good experience to gain knowledge in my field. But, there is little room for advancement as preference is given to unqualified tribal members. The days are interesting while at work, but the lack of leadership by many directors and upper managers is disturbing

Unfortunately I don't feel that is an area that the company excels in. Many staff members (from various depts.) seem unhappy at work. Smoking (unhealthy) is promoted in the break room. There were nice fun things in the past, such as associate bingo and appreciation days, but those are gone.

Having a smooth day, when everyone works as a team to accomplish whatever tasks present themselves. It is also nice to be recognized for a job well done - not necessarily by receiving an award or prize, but by hearing the words 'thank you' from upper management or the CEO.

The upper leadership (CEO, COO level) should be more visible throughout the property and interact with staff members. This does not happen at the hotel, at least during the time of day that I work. Many are not suited for their positions, and do not show the knowledge or level of concern they should

In my department most people get along well enough to know what is going on in each other's lives, and this helps create a personal connection. We back each other up and help each other out when necessary. Our team is focused on providing excellent service and I feel everyone is on the same page.
