Overall company culture is good, but can vary by team. My group is very close and enjoys working with each other. Innovation had slowed down in recent years, but the new leadership has redirected company focus on the future.

What's the work from home policy like at Bluebeam?
A strict policy is required to work from home more than a one-off time. Management and HR approval is required, but so far is usually given.
Remote work policies are agreed upon when you interview/are offered. It depends on the role and team and if the work can be done remotely/how much in person collaboration is needed. But, if you start in your role with no WFH, you can apply for it through your manager after 1 year to see if it's a good fit for your position moving forward.

What is the best perk or benefit that Bluebeam offers?
Year-end profit-sharing bonus is the best benefit. A nice chunk of change at the beginning of the year.

Yes, but it has become very bureaucratic recently, requiring applying and interviewing.

Sometimes, but not often. You and your manager have to fight for every promotion.

Often every year, but it all depends upon your manager and your manager's manager. From the salary's I see on the people that report to me, there is tremendous salary inequality, and mostly that is down to someone having favored employee status even though they are not great workers.

That the company was not going to grow and that they had squandered 4 years building a product no one wanted and no one could explain why we built it.

Don't ask questions, keep your head low, do what you're told, don't have ideas that are different from leadership.

I've had great experiences with HR. That department was brutalized in a layoff right before Christmas 2020. Those that weren't laid off left shortly after.
How's the leadership on the Engineering team at Bluebeam?
Leadership has changed a lot in the last year or so. Currently leadership is atrocious, mostly because he believes that everything can be solved by a different cog and the cheapest cog is best.
How innovative is Bluebeam?
They think they are innovative, but innovation actually requires shipping said innovations to customers to validate if it was innovative. We don't ship and when we do, we tend not to support the product.
How helpful was your Engineering team when you were first hired at Bluebeam?
People leading me through the extremely complex source code for the main product.
What is Bluebeam's internship program like?
Every year they hire a handful of interns. They are paid well-enough and a few apply in the future.
