Q&A With Bluebeam Employees

Asked to the Engineering Department at Bluebeam

  • The Engineering team is split between the original product and the "new hotness." Unfortunately the "new hotness" changes every 2-3 years and the company dithers on shipping and driving revenue from the next new thing. Where as the original product keeps driving 90%+ of the company's revenue. How is this engineering org rewarded? Layoffs because they are not working on the next new thing. Now they are scrambling to rehire the laid off people because EVERY SINGLE PERSON they wanted to keep, left.
