I'm not sure what you mean by "leadership team" here. Does that mean the deans of my school? The college president and provost? I have different answers for different leadership teams.
Other public and private employees are earning raises that compensate for inflation and then some, but our leadership team insists on redistributing cost-of-living increases by its own judgement; as a result, many of us are losing money by staying here. As the language on this survey demonstrates, some of our leaders are trying to run a public community college like a for-profit business. These are different entities, and just as any company's C-suite would not run its operations like a nonprofit, we should not run ours like a business.
