
The pay in the engineering department in the west coast is in the lower 50th percentile. JPMorgan tends to scoop up boot camp grads but has an extremely hi turnover. Engineers are frequently offered close to double their JPMorgan salary within 6months. JPMorgan “promotes” from within the company but does not offer pay raises (this is done on a different system). JPMorgan does not attempt to hire senior engineers because they salary wouldn’t come close than market rate.
It’s comparable to other banks, but raises are not great.
