European tech salaries are very low compared to USA. If we're competing in the US tech industry, and that's where our customers are, our salaries should be benchmarked to reflect that.

Everything is so much harder than it should be. Technical debt and bureaucracy means that making tiny trivial changes takes days or weeks. It feels like swimming through molasses! It's a software and/or process problem, not a people problem. We need to empower people!
