Everyone seems very friendly and approachable. However, I'm not entirely sure who is part of the leadership team. As a result, I have had little interaction with most of the leadership team.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Codility is the first place I've worked that actually values their employees and proves that with the culture. A lot of companies sell false promises on work-life balance and benefits. Codility is the real deal.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
European tech salaries are very low compared to USA. If we're competing in the US tech industry, and that's where our customers are, our salaries should be benchmarked to reflect that.

This is mainly because of the type of contract I have here in Poland. Unless I can't switch to a "developer" type of contract, one Euro salary band for example won't mean much to me because of the higher tax rate.

I think we need to focus on building personal relationships. Remote work and virtual set up just killed them or made them non-existent in the first place.

I feel I have been given enough time to meet the wider team, to learn and to get to understand our tools. I could never get a better onboarding buddy, and the work itself is very stimulating, i feel i can choose what i do and how i do it, still being results driven.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
In the engineering department, there are considerable issues that impact everyone's ability to work and improve the product. Not enough time/emphasis is placed on these problems.

Everything is so much harder than it should be. Technical debt and bureaucracy means that making tiny trivial changes takes days or weeks. It feels like swimming through molasses! It's a software and/or process problem, not a people problem. We need to empower people!
