For me I find life at work terrible. I find managers who cowardly deal with Union issues, twist the facts to make themselves look good to their superiors and then pat themselves on the back with a job well done. I have been able to put this hypocrisy behind me once I leave work and not take it home with me. Hopefully I will be able to continue to do so.

Working for General Motors is brutal they care nothing about their employees. We used to have a saying about General Motors to General Motors a person is nothing but a pair of hands with a number attached and once your hands a shot your number is up. General Motors had destroy almost as many employees live Then people that Hitler murdered

It is as you allow. Individuals make a choice to let work consume their life. That said, at different points in your career and career goals, you may make different choices or y9u may have a manager that pushes more, in the end you make a choice.

We have no life, if they could management would hire no permanent workers and work us 24/7 every week of year. It's very sad how badly General Motors treats its employees, or should I say 3-4 yrs temporary work employees

Depends on the team. Software developers probably have the worst of it come release time, but most of the time, work/life is pretty good. Mary Barra puts emphasis on family coming first, so the rest follows.

This varies from group to group. In software development, during deployment, it's probably not great. For the most part, in HR, it's fantastic.
