It was professional, yet laid back enough that I wasn't too stressed out
Knowing that even if the customers never see me, that I do my part to give them something to remember. I'll probably never get "employee of the month", but I will always do my best to make sure their food is delicious.
Leadership seems to be finally acknowledging that hourly employees, in particular ones that have been there for a long time, actually might have ideas worth listening to. After being told for years to "be empowered", it's finally starting to feel like we actually ARE.
I work with a pretty solid crew at night, we all work together to get things done and we try to have at least some fun while we're doing it. I just wish the other shift(s) would step up a little in the teamwork department.
It took a while to roll out, but with the department wage adjustments that took place, I feel like I am finally being paid fairly for the work that I do. I'm just bummed that I probably won't be eligible for any more raises for the foreseeable future, so that might not last long :(
