Mr. Scott A. Almy has been the Chief Operating Officer of LegacyTexas Financial Group Inc. since September 29, 2015 and has been its Chief Risk Officer, Executive Vice President and General Counsel since July 16, 2012. Mr. Almy has been Chief Operating Officer of LegacyTexas Bank since September 28, 2015. He has been an Executive Vice President, Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel of Legacytexas Bank since July 2012. Since 2009, Mr. Almy oversees the credit, risk, compliance, information technology, internal audit and legal functions of LegacyTexas Financial Group. He is the managing member of a private law firm in Dallas, where he focused on regulatory and transactional matters affecting banks, bank holding companies and other financial firms. He spent 15 years at Guaranty Financial Group. He served as Senior Executive Vice President and Executive Vice President of Guaranty Financial Group Inc. and also served as it General Counsel and Secretary since 2003. He served as General Counsel and Secretary of Guaranty Bank since 1999. He also served as the Chief Legal & Governance Officer of Guaranty Financial Group Inc. He joined Guaranty Bank, a division of Guaranty Financial Group Inc., in 1994. He has nearly 20 years of bank regulatory expertise. His previous experience includes positions at Compaq Computer Corporation (now Hewlett-Packard). Mr. Almy has served on various boards and in professional leadership capacities with the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Association of Bank Counsel, the Texas Savings and Community Bankers Association, the American Bankers Association and the Financial Services Roundtable. He has also served on various philanthropic boards, including the North Texas Chapter of the March of Dimes. Mr. Almy completed his B.B.A degree with an emphasis on management information systems at Texas A&M University and he received his J.D. from the Texas Tech University School of Law. He also completed the Executive Education Program in Advanced Risk Management at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
