Lulu has had some rough patches, but the last 3+ years have been a strong upward trend led by the executive team. That's made this a positive and enjoyable place to work and to be part of the company's growing/renewed success.
Lulu has supported my career growth for years and allowed me to find work that is truly satisfying and meaningful.
Lulu continues to be the best work experience I've ever had. The people here genuinely care about the work we do. The atmosphere is respectful and collaborative. And best of all, the executive team is responsive to our questions/concerns.
Collaborative problem solving while having fun and laughs.
The willingness to be supportive, to seek solutions, and to work together.
The creativity and collaboration that leads to new and existing projects and an ever improving website.
Knowing that it won't be a clock-staring bore while I wait for 5 PM to inch closer.
The people I work with, the collaborative and driven environment, and the quality projects we work on
The open communication and willingness for people to work across departments and teams to get the work done.
Finishing a big project and seeing it out there in the world, being used and enjoyed by people.
The collaboration - working with smart, driven, capable people means we can collaborate on some amazing and effective projects.
They are present and approachable daily in the office, provide regular updates, and keep the larger company goals in sight.
They are transparent, open to new ideas, and have done a much better job of working toward the company goals.
They don't hold themselves apart from the company; Lulu's leadership is involved day to day with everyone in the company.
The pay is fair and around industry standards. The PTO and attendance policy are very flexible, which is a great bonus.
Everyone is dedicated to their work, strives to always be improving, and takes the work seriously without losing a sense of humor.
Communication - from regular meetings to posting a notification in our team channel, we're never in the dark about what's happening at Lulu.
People at Lulu are very supportive of each other. It's a good place to grow and learn with other interested and excited people.
The number of PTO/Float holidays seems to be ample, as I always have extras come November. The medical/dental is fine and the copays are reasonable as well
They're present and open to communication. I've never hesitated to bring a concern to my boss nor have I felt like my input was disregarded or ignored.
Healthcare is good for the cost, the 401k match is solid, and the flexible work schedule (including working from home when needed) is great. Work-life balance has not impacted earnings potential at all.
That I'm contributing to something that helps people all over the world create and sell books. Second to that, I look forward to working with this group of smart, driven, and creative people.
The office is open and very friendly, people move about freely to collaborate and get info from other departments. I feel that when people come to work, they're excited about the work they are doing and look forward to it.
The interview included a total of four employees speaking to me about various aspects of the job. This was awesome because it gave me some insight into the people I would be working with and helped me understand the company culture before I even started.
The people I work with are smart, creative, and always willing to help each other out. The amount of knowledge we share across our specialties and the willingness to go above and beyond for each other makes this a wonderful group of people to work with.
Open offices can be a challenge, but Lulu does a good job migrating that and reaping the benefits of working (physically) close to each other. Plus that they judge our goals on completion rather than attendance means we can work at our own pace and are held accountable for achievements.
