Staff: You get to spend your day in meetings or hide in your cube, low responsibilities, come in at 10, a full hour for lunch, leave by 5, full benefits, lots of vacation, six months maternity, good severance. In my experience, they happened frequently and without notice. In 2016, they laid off an entire division. Layoff also occur because Scholastic continues to be a cult of personality; if you do not get along with your superiors, expect to be cut. Not a great company culture.
