It's been an interesting experience and I am still navigating. I've worked through some doubts, and I'm better for it - and TaxJar gave me the platform to do that to speaking to leadership to get to the place I am.
I have had quite a meaningful journey that includes career progression. It's beyond checking boxes; the work I do is what I *want* to do in my career, where my opinions matter and I get to the move the needle as I am doing it.
Authenticity isn't just a buzz word here.
The employee support is off the charts.
Transparency, servant leadership and collaborative across the team.
No one is of the mind "that is not my job."
Knowing that the work I do matters and supports our core values.
The things that don't show up in paychecks; like flexibility, time off, perks, 401K, dental/vision.
I get to do what I love and have the freedom to give insights and feedback to effect change.
The transparency. The honesty. The human side. It's obvious they care - not just about the company, but the individuals who make up the company. They recognize the need for communication and are completely willing to answer questions -easy, tough and in-between.
While I took a bit of a pay cut and I am confident I'll recover the difference at some point. I care more about the trust in me to do my job and the culture than the pay. Out of everything, Zestful is a standout because I believe in paying it forward and you allow us to do that even "at work".
