Salary. I find it generously high, and importantly I have fairly high faith that my colleagues' salaries are equitable.
The leadership team are just normal people. At a lot of companies, leadership seems very separate from the rest of the employees, both personally and professionally. At TaxJar I feel directly plugged in to our leadership team, and know I can approach them at any time.
The lack of ego is the big the one. We've got a ton of sharp and immensely capable people, but everyone remains down-to-earth and friendly. We're hugely competitive in our space but uncompetitive on a personal level, and I think that's instrumental to our cohesiveness. Everyone's got your back.
