Unable to answer as it was several years ago and a lot has changed. Company has turned hands 3+ times since then.
Leadership. Change leadership. Same people in different roles isn't good enough. SHOW employees how you are going to support and value them. Words no longer carry any weight.
Co workers are great. Everyone is in the same boat and we all work well to reach the mutual goal. The issue is that we do not have sufficient tools, processes ,support, or leadership to do the job efficiently.
The sink or swim environment has taken its toll. Solutions are offered but declined because it's to difficult to change a process. Integrity is lost because of this. Company is way behind technologically and even further behind in office/remote environment.
Be willing to do what's right rather than what is easiest or most familiar. Quit burying their head in the sand and take the necessary steps to bring the company current with industry standards. Genuinely work on improving morale by showing mutual respect.
Medical benefits are expensive. Metrics are one sided. Consistently pile on the workload but don't add resources or support. Asked to work overtime without recording time and no additional compensation. The reward is more work for same pay and being penguin holed to stay in that role.
