How employees describe working at United Biosource Corporation
Lots of unproductive meetings where we just go over the part that should have been an email, and not the actual action items needed to move forward. Also lots of micromanaging here.
Dishonest business practices, does not fulfill their obligations
Micromanagers and mangers have favorites so if you're not a favorite then pay raises are non-existent. They also hire a lot of unexperienced people that then you're exhausted all the time training these people.
Horrible, terrible, I am ashamed
It has been challenging and most rewarding as well.

How does United Biosource Corporation handle HR issues?
HR is outsourced to a pretty worthless 3rd party.
No HR in office, have to call a third party phone number. HR staff in corporate location are not responsive to employees below the director level.
How are layoffs handled in the Operations department at United Biosource Corporation?
They are significant, affect almost all teams and unexpected. The day of announcement is the last day for the affected workers. The rest of us are left trying to figure out how to move forward without key team members and no direction from leadership. Oh, and they do this on the last weekday of the month so they don't have to pay health insurance for the affected employees any longer than possible. Really disgusting practice.
During the past several layoffs we have not been given the opportunity to say goodbye, not even to the long-term and valued staff members.
How innovative is United Biosource Corporation?
Employees are innovative. Leadership shuts anything that costs money down really fast.
UBC does not invest in technology - faxes are still in active usage. The company buys the cheapest versions of new software and systems are rarely integrated. Budgets are developed by hand. Invoicing is tracked via spreadsheet. It's a mess.
