What's the vibe like in the Sales dept at Walmart? How many hours are you working?

I work 35 hours a week because Wal Mart refuse s to let anyone work a full forty hours anymore. The sales team at Wal Mart are very lazy and create a really uncomfortable and miserable environment for people who really want to do a good job because nobody can say anything about the lazy and incompetent workers for fear of being offensive and getting fired.

Vibe varies greatly from store to store. Mostly depends on the management team and the general attitude of your coworkers. Having worked at multiple stores, I have seen both sides of the spectrum. Full time associates work 40+ hours while part timers generally work 20-25 hours.

The atmosphere is very negative at Walmart. If you are part time you can't work more than 32 hours. Some of the best associates are only scheduled 16 hours. If you are full time you can't go over 40 hours.

It really depends. If you are part time your hours will vary, but will be higher during busier times of the year such as the holidays. Full-time is generally 35+ hours per week.

If you are not full-time, your hours can greatly fluctuate. This is most noticeable after the December holidays. Full-time you are suppose to be getting 35+ hours per week.

More interested in processes and procedures than customers and employees. Preferably wish employees were robots or machines. 40 hours
