This company is full of it! I've been there almost 13 years and barely making $13.00 an hour but now people are coming in and making more than I am! I liked it before when the yearly raises were at least .40, .50, and .60 but now u barely get a .25 raise and it really pisses me off! I work too hard for hardly any money, this is 2020 and barely making $750.00 every two weeks! Something needs to change in a BIG way! I also miss getting paid for Sundays and time and a half! I don't like that they take PTO time away for holiday pay like y'all are a billion dollar company and real stingy with your coins! Y'all need to fix this ASAP before you have no employees!

  • They count minimum wage increase as a raise... So after 6 years I make as much as the starting employees when I work twice as hard...

  • Started in 2019. And yet still no petty .24 cent raise. Worst company ever. And if a co worker has covid they will not inform anyone. I understand the privacy law but your at least supposed to to be notified you were exposed.

  • Walmart will hire from outside instead of moving an existing employee 9 times out of 10 unless that employee is a favorite of management for whatever reason. If you don't play the yes man and brush off the blatant violations of the law and human rights, you'll never move anywhere. They will pigeonhole you with a friendly smile and feed you excuses ad nauseam.

Will background check every employee, but they don’t drug test unless your entering an AP position, maintenance, coach, pharmacy or any higher up position, they do not test teamleads(they might test stocking teamleads as you work with heavy equipment)

  • I just applied at Walmart. They required a background check and drug test. I'm in Pharmacy

  • Walmart does do a background check for all positions, but they only drug test for the maintenance department.

Slacks, nice blouse. No jeans no tennis shoes

  • If the interview is for a store level position, casual collared shirt and slacks is OK. Moving up to a management level interview calls for a tie and jacket.

  • You can dress casual. I would recommend a nice shirt with no logos and a nice pair of jeans that fit properly.

They claimed flexible shifts but when one of the days didn't work for me due to schooling. They refused to change it. I mentioned "You guys claimed flexible shifts" My manager's response was "Where did we say we offer flexible shifts?" It was posted on the Indeed and in the front of the store as "Flexible Shifts". Given I was overnights, I had to quit due to the schedule.
