All Walmarts do background checks. The drug test depends on the store. I wasn't drug tested when I started working there. My mom and brother who work at a different store were. Also it depends on the position. If you are selling guns you will be drug tested.

They conduct a drug test and background check on new associates. However, our store has more temporary employees than associates working daily. They are not screened at all. The management team is afraid to confront many of them.

Will background check every employee, but they don’t drug test unless your entering an AP position, maintenance, coach, pharmacy or any higher up position, they do not test teamleads(they might test stocking teamleads as you work with heavy equipment)
