
I'm not sure about anyone else, but I just needed a job. It didn't matter where, I had to make a living. I chose to try Walmart because it is solid, they are everywhere, and there's lots of things a person can do for work at Walmart. If I can't perform my regular job duties for any reason, they will find me something to do.
I would highly recommend if you are looking for a place to try and get hourly full time and benefits but if you want to be salaried I would say no thank you and move on to a company that will treat salaried management better
I work overnights as a second job. The hours are convenient for me, so I can supplement my income. I have a full time job during the day. There is no way Walmart would be my priority as a career.
It's a fair enough place to work, but with trying to compete with the evolving world today, people are constantly insecure with their jobs.

Wal-Mart is one of the fastest growing retailers and offers a lot of possibilities for growth as an individual.
The pay and benefits are good and the work structures and processes and routines work.
They pay well, and if you stay long enough they have good benefits.
The benefits package that is offered to full time associates is great.
