Improve training - the computer training is not very good. It touches on too many subjects leaving out a lot of what is really needed in your own department. A lot of what it covers is not enough to make you knowledgeable about the subject or not enough to make you retain it for the once in a while that you might encounter that topic. You do the initial training and then you head out to your dept lacking a lot of what you really do need to know. You hear different things from co-workers in your dept and many people have a different idea of how to do things. Dept manager never explains things in a group or individually. It is frustrating and makes you feel like they really don't care. Occasional comments from management or even the store manager were negative. I know how hard I worked there and it was physically hard on my feet all day, but never heard a compliment of any kind.
Don’t keep adding and taking away hours to the associates and don’t micro manage the stores from district level on up they should be thanking the associates and not have a person taking notes through the stores the associates see that and feel that they are not appreciated then it’s turned around and focused on store manager not taking care of its people when in reality that’s not the case
Stop taking away and give more appreciation to its associates
Train their managers better to respect the associates better
praise, recognition, Saying thank you, better morale, pick 1
Get rid of the one best way program
Pay what the employees are truly worth
Care and show appreciation
